1. Our Commitment
Stillmend ("we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. We respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA.
Stillmend operates as a private wellness platform. User conversations with Mira are private and not publicly broadcast. This significantly limits the scope of potential copyright infringement through our platform.
2. Prohibited Use
Users of the Stillmend app and website may not submit, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted material without authorization, including but not limited to:
- Song lyrics, musical compositions, or recordings
- Passages from books, articles, or other written works
- Poetry, screenplays, or dramatic works
- Any other content protected by copyright law
Our AI companion Mira is designed to support your healing journey — not to reproduce, recite, or distribute third-party copyrighted content. Mira will decline requests to reproduce copyrighted material.
3. Reporting Infringement
If you believe that content available through Stillmend infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information sufficient for us to locate it
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to our DMCA agent containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
5. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Stillmend has adopted a policy of terminating accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our platform for users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
6. Safe Harbor Notice
Stillmend qualifies for the DMCA Safe Harbor protection under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) as a service provider. We do not have actual knowledge of infringing material, do not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity, and act expeditiously to remove or disable access to infringing material upon receiving proper notification.
⚠️ Important: Submitting a false DMCA notice may result in liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including costs and attorney's fees. Please only submit a notice if you have a good faith belief that your copyright has been infringed.
