Stillmend ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Stillmend website at stillmend.com and the Stillmend mobile application. We provide mental wellness tools, journaling features, AI companion support, and educational resources for women navigating anxiety, grief, and life transitions.

How Mira works: When you send a message to Mira, it is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate a response. If you use Mira's voice feature, Mira's text response is transmitted to ElevenLabs to generate audio. Both Anthropic and ElevenLabs process your data in real-time to fulfil the request — they do not retain your conversations or use them to train their AI models.
Conversation storage: Your Mira conversations are saved on Stillmend's secure servers (hosted by Supabase on AWS infrastructure in the United States) so that Mira can remember you and continue from where you left off. Only you and authorised Stillmend staff can access your conversations. Conversations are retained for 12 months from your last activity, after which they are automatically deleted. You can delete your conversation history at any time from within the app.
Periodic summaries: To provide continuity while managing costs, Stillmend periodically creates a brief summary of your Mira conversations. This summary is used to help Mira understand your context in future sessions. It is stored on the same secure servers and subject to the same deletion rights as your full conversation history.
Not a therapist: Mira is not a licensed therapist and conversations with Mira do not constitute medical or mental health treatment. If you are in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988).

Where your data is stored: Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in the United States (AWS us-east-1, Virginia). If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), your data is transferred to the United States under the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission, which Supabase has in place with its infrastructure providers. We are committed to expanding to EU-region storage as our user base grows.
How your data is protected: We implement row-level security so that your journal entries, mood data, conversation history, and assessment results are only accessible by you — no other user can see your data. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Stillmend account.

You have the following rights over your personal data. These apply to all users; EU/EEA users also have additional rights under GDPR, and California users have rights under CCPA.
For GDPR requests, we will respond within 30 days. For CCPA requests, we will respond within 45 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Stillmend is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at hello@stillmend.com and we will delete the account promptly.

Stillmend is operated from the United States. If you are accessing our app from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection. By using Stillmend, you consent to this transfer.
EU/EEA users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority if they believe their rights have not been respected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of Stillmend after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
